About the role

An opportunity exists for a Senior Advisor - Learning Systems and Projects to join our Organisational Capability team in Perth and play a key role in shaping the systems that support operational training across Hancock Iron Ore.

Reporting to the Lead Training and Capability, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our learning management system, while delivering projects that make training easier to access, manage and report on. Working closely with training teams, operational leaders and other stakeholders, you’ll turn business needs into practical improvements that strengthen the quality and visibility of training information. Duties

  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the learning management system (LMS) to support operations and the training team.
  • Build and maintain learning resources within the LMS, ensuring the system is well organised and performs effectively
  • Deliver LMS and training projects aligned with business priorities, including initiatives supporting the Training and Competency Framework
  • Monitor system and training effectiveness, using feedback and reporting to identify and implement improvements
  • Govern and audit the LMS, reconcile system data with employee training records, and maintain accurate operational reporting
  • Provide expert advice, user guides and practical training to help the Operational Training team and employees use the LMS confidently
  • Manage LMS support issues promptly, escalate risks where needed, and work with external vendors to maintain reliable system performance

Skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience with the SuccessFactors Learning Management System, and experience within mining or a similar industry
  • Proven ability to configure, maintain and improve an LMS, including building reports that meet business needs and auditing system data against training records
  • Proven ability to configure and build a training resource library in the LMS
  • Sound knowledge of Power BI, training and competency management frameworks, and relevant work health and safety legislation
  • An auditing qualification, with the ability to assess system compliance and identify practical improvements.
  • Data analysis of requirements in the LMS, and the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Strong project management, organisational and Microsoft Office skills, with experience developing training resources and managing competing priorities
  • Experience managing training or systems projects, developing training materials, facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders
